22-Year-Old Woman Allegedly Raped in Jhajjar While Visiting Husband’s Workplace

A 22-year-old woman was reportedly raped while she was going to meet her husband at a factory in Rohad village, located in Haryana’s Jhajjar district, police said on Tuesday.

Incident Took Place After Mobile Phone Was Snatched

As per police details, a man on a bike took away the woman’s mobile phone. When she ran after him to get her phone back, the accused allegedly overpowered her and sexually assaulted her.

While speaking to the news agency, Jhajjar Police Commissioner Rajshree Singh said, “The woman is 22 years old. She said that three men came and took her phone. She chased the bike, and then two of them held her while the third man raped her. She is unable to give more information at this time.”

Police have filed a case under the related sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. The investigation is currently ongoing.
